A Secret Walk Through Edinburgh with Hidden Trax

Following the success of our app launch walking tour of the city, Hidden Trax took the streets of Edinburgh once again last week.
Kenza (Head of Content) and Donald (Cofounder) telling Hidden Trax’s origin story.

Led by Fiona, a professional tour guide and a creator with SIX TRAX under her belt, we brought our app to life by taking the lovely folk from Travel Massive and Eden Locke on a secret walk through Edinburgh.

The event started off with a welcome drinks reception at Eden Locke, also home to Door 127, a trendy cafe on George Street. We were also given a sneak peek into one of their rooms – an Air Bnb style suite fully equipped with a kitchen and living room!

One of our creators Briana is framed in Eden Locke as part of their Creative Conversations series. Briana is the Director of Creative Edinburgh and also the creator of our ‘Universityland’ Trax.

At 7:00 pm, we set off! Our secret route was an amalgamation of some of our best tours in and near Edinburgh’s New Town. Fiona led this adventurous bunch past Charlotte’s Square, down into Stockbridge, along the water of Leith up into Dean Village, past Cairngorm Coffee on Melville Place and to our final stop, Ghillie-Dhu, for a well-earned drink!

Stopping off at various key points, Fiona shared some interesting historical and contemporary facts and tidbits. These were pulled from a variety of places, including Alasdair’s ‘Architecture of the New Town’ Trax, Angus’s ‘Rose Street’ Trax, Joe’s ‘Joe Discover’s Stockbridge’ Trax, and Fiona’s own ‘Deanbrige to Stockbridge’ Trax.

A huge thank you to all the intrepid folk from Travel Massive and Eden Locke for joining us on a secret walk through Edinburgh on Wednesday evening!

If you missed the event or want to enjoy the Hidden Trax experience for yourself, we have over 50+ audio walking tours available on our FREE app!
